My Students

I am a fifth grade teacher. I have a wonderful group of students! They are constantly impressing me with their hard-working attitude, amazing work ethic, and overall positive outlook on life. I am so proud to be their teacher. They deserve the best education possible.

I teach at a rural, Title I school, serving approximately 300 students.

Every child receives free breakfast and lunch. We are located near a large military base, and as a result, serve children of active duty and retired military. Our students are bright and eager to learn new things. They are hard workers and strive to make their world a better place.

My Project

I hate that I am requesting a security system for my classroom. However, it is my job to keep my students safe. Safe from emotional damage, safe from physical damage, safe and happy at all times. With the recent tragedy that occurred in Florida, my students are scared. Scared that this could one day be their reality. I remind them daily that school is a safe place and that I can protect them.

With this added security defense, perhaps my students will start to feel safe again.

With school safety on the rise, the Barracuda Intruder Defense System will help keep my students safe in the event of an active shooter situation. The Barracuda is a security device that can be installed in a matter of seconds to protect occupants against building intruders. Thank you for helping my students feel safe no matter where they are in our school building.
