My Students
My students are an energetic and curious bunch of kiddos! They come to school every day with smiles on their faces, eager to learn, despite some of the tough situations they come from. They are thrilled to learn and grow, every day, no matter what challenges they face in their home lives!
Our classroom is a community where the students can feel excited, included, safe, and successful!
Access to hands-on learning materials and books is necessary for their success and engagement in their learning. They are so appreciative of the opportunities that they have to grow as a community of learners together in our classroom!
My Project
We are looking for accessories for our Amazon Kindle Fires for use in our classroom that we are hoping to receive through another DonorsChoose.org project. We are so excited to use these in order to interact with reading and STEM apps that will help reinforce what we are learning in class. These will be an important part of our independent learning time.
As much as kids love technology, first graders are not always gentle with materials.
These cases will prevent major and minor wear on the tablets so they can be used throughout the entire school year and for years to come! The headphones will help us use all technology in our classroom independently and quietly so that we can each focus on our own learning. The charging station will ensure that the tablets are charged and ready to go each day for student learning. My scholars and I appreciate you helping us get our tablets up and running in our classroom!
