My Project

There’s no hiding the fact that preschoolers learn best through play and if you step into my classroom that is exactly what you will see!

I am a firm believer that play fuels curiosity, sparks creativity, and leads to a lifelong love of learning.

My classroom is in need of a durable dramatic play kitchen that will allow them the opportunity to experience all the benefits that dramatic play has to offer. Providing my students a play kitchen allows them access to build their social/emotional skills, cognitive skills, and also their language and literacy development.

One of my primary goals as a preschool teacher is to help develop my students' social/emotional skills to the best of my ability before they head off to Kindergarten. A play kitchen gives them the opportunity to problem solve, manage feelings, interact with peers, and respond to emotional cues. Along with these benefits, comes thinking symbolically, engaging in conversation, math skills, and even fine motor coordination.
