My Students

Help my students! I want my students to have a chance to read independently. Our room is small and we do not have room to keep many things on our desks.

I have a class of 20 wonderful kindergarteners.

They are very bright, but come from an underprivileged neighborhood. These students will have a lot of challenges ahead and I want to make their education as engaging as possible. Often these students go home to a variety of situations and I want school to be their safe place where they can feel comfortable and eager to learn!

My Project

I want to get these book bags and books for my classroom so I can further individualize these students' education. I have students who are reading chapter books and I also have students who cannot recognize a single letter. It is hard to meet all student's needs in group lessons. These book bags would make it easier for me to meet each of their needs by providing them with books at each student's reading level.
