This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My title is "traveling music teacher" working for a large school district of Los Angeles county, serving every day at a different school location as an itinerant vocal/general/choral music teacher, on a low income, south and southeast LA area.
Although my students come mostly from bilingual households and financially troubled families, they all have "sharpy" eyes, ears and brain...! They all are like any other children in the world, eager to learn, ready and anxious to achieve, succeed and have their own places in their lives.
I am one of many other inspirational teachers, trying hard to give these students a chance to get the best there is out there to help expedite their learning and give them many skills as possible to become productive members of the future generation.
My Project
One way to differentiate instruction is by appealing to different modalities. So, I want to involve more senses simultaneously to make learning exciting and vigorous.
Many of my students are visual learners, and Epson - Powerlite Wireless Projector will do the magic.
As I am a traveling music teacher, this particular projector is much more convenient and faster to set up. As students are visually following the music and the lyrics, they are also listening to it.
I only have 30 min. to teach each class, in this short amount of time I can teach extensively, and get results more effectively.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
