Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The majority of students in my classroom are English Language Learners from East African descent. Their families may have been living in the U.S. for many years or just a few months. Many of the families live in low-income housing, with 98% of students in our school receive free/reduced lunch.

Our students are excited to come to school and be a part of a large, loving community.

As a school, our mission is to instruct, empower, enable, and guide children to achieve superior academic, social, and moral development.

My Project

This projector will be an instrumental device in helping students practice their language skills and presentation skills. All of my students are English Language Learners who are developing their English oral language. Creating projects for my students that require them to present allows them to practice both their speaking and listening skills.

This projector will also assist students in perfecting their presentation skills.

There is a high bar for students to perfect their presentation skills and get ready for college. With the projector, students will be able to practice with a tool they will need to be familiar with later on in life. This projector will help students develop both their presentation skills and their language skills.
