Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students attend an urban high school with approximately one-thousand students. At our school, sixty-seven percent of the students are minorities and sixty-nine percent are economically disadvantaged. Students in my classes range from a variety of levels, from college-level courses, to academic levels, including many students with learning disabilities and emotional disabilities.

Students in my classroom have a will to be successful despite any hardship that they encounter.

The love to be challenged in class and enjoy utilizing technology in the classroom. This keeps them engaged in the learning process and enables many of them to succeed.

My Project

My students are hungry to learn. Throughout their lives math has been a struggle, but as they show up everyday with ready to learn I notice that their will has never wavered. This year I teach Geometry and Algebra 2 and I want my students to be comfortable when they take the SAT and progress through college.

I don't just want my students to just graduate from high school, I want them to be successful at the next level.

I want to utilize a Document Camera to help students work be successful in the classroom and share their success and difficulties with the rest of class.
