As a librarian I have the luxury of knowing every student from Kindergarten through Fifth grade. My students are at the beginning of their career as lifelong learners and they are very eager to learn! Many come to school with a smile on their face even though they may be facing tough times at home.
The school library is a place where they can get away, try something new, and learn about any topic they wish.
My students love options and the ability to control their learning.
My Project
A new LCD Projector will enhance the library space immensely. I will be able to show more presentations and book trailers to entice students into challenging their reading skills and their imagination.
We can also complete more digital projects that students can present to the class to enhance their communication and social skills.
Students will be able to master the skills of research, collaboration, and communication as they proceed through their academic career. We will not have to worry about technology breaking during a presentation, which will give the students more confidence that the library is there to help them at every step of the way with their education.
