These kids want to embrace learning and use every opportunity to enrich their education. Our school is a Title I school and the majority of the population at our school speaks another language. My kindergarten students not only have to learn to read but also have to learn another language. As a school we strive to enhance each child's opportunity to be successful. We pull from all our resources available, whether it's materials to different educators, to help all students.
My Project
As of right now our projector for our smartboard works, but you can not see anything with the lights on. Therefore my students are working the majority of the time with the lights off to ensure visibility. Our smartboard/projector is the heart of our kindergarten classroom so much is done on it throughout our day. We need the projector for fun educational songs, Letterland, writing on the board, math problems, and so much more. A new projector will ensure that my students get the most from their kindergarten experience. So much in our classroom is done through technology and a new projector will help us so much.
