Project LIT & Young Hoosier Books: Get Them in Hands

Help me give my students Project LIT books and Young Hoosier books for 2019-2020. This allows the 90 students I teach to use my classroom library as a source for these books rather than waiting line elsewhere.

My Students

My students are fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students in a self-contained high ability program. We have a fourth, fifth, and sixth grade class that all mix together and switch teachers' rooms for different programs. We do our language arts based around novel studies and book clubs to help accelerate their curriculum.

We are a very large family.

I love that my students are creative and like being challenged. They show integrity and kindness when inside and outside of the school building.

My Project

We have a project LIT book club and my students love reading Young Hoosier books for end-of-year awards. I want to provide a complete set of these books for the 19-20 school year so that my students can spend their time reading the books they want, not waiting on a waiting list for the school or public library.

This will affect about ninety students.

Please consider donating to help them read new, diverse books about deep topics. Many students will not read these books during the next school year without this classroom set because they will spend many months waiting for a copy.
