Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Around 50% of students experience stress in or about their school environment every day. Stress causes high blood pressure, anxiety, headaches, digestive issues and so much more.

Prioritizing having a safe place on campus where students can spend at least 25 minutes in can promote well being in students and allow for more focus to occur within the classroom.

Items such as the salt lamp and the zero gravity seating options are a big part in transforming the classroom because it will soften some of the features in the classroom to encourage self-regulation and allow for flexible seating. I plan to use the thumbs up thumbs down paddles to have students notify me how they are feeling during independent time and all of the other office supplies to put this all together.
