Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Over the past year, our students have succeeded in growing various fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Our principal has given my STEM students the task of converting an unused courtyard/pavilion into a year-round garden.

With the additional AeroGardens and seed starting kits, we can produce more viable seedlings for our garden.

Our project, Demeter Demeanor, aims to educate our students on sustainable agriculture and harvest enough food to feed our middle school staff and students. My students are special because they know the meaning of perseverance. Despite difficulties and failures they never quit, they thrive!
