I teach in a Title I, public school in a rural area. My class consists of 29 students. They are very unique, full of energy, and for the most part eager to learn. They are full of questions that I don't always have the answer to. They love solving problems, especially when able to use some sort of technology. Because of COVID, there has been an increased use for technology.
My Project
The materials listed will help bridge the gap that students have suffered during the Covid 19 pandemic. Since there was a lot of at out of school learning, alternative seating, will help make the classroom setting be more appealing to those that were at home learners. I have noticed that students have been having a difficult time staying organized, two pocket folders will help ensure that they can locate their work in progress. Brain breaks are more necessary than ever. Water colors will give a creative break when needed. To be able to use wireless mice, will help students manipulate the high stakes end of year testing. To keep student safe during the pandemic, I would like to provide my students with individual supplies such as dry erase marker and white boards and provide them with plenty opportunities to easily sanitize with disinfecting wipes and spray. Having a comfy place to read will help students enjoy reading and want to stay engaged in a good book that will help with DIBELS testing. Incentives will have positive effects on classroom behavior which will help the classroom run more smoothly. Thank you so much!
