My Students

I have 6 awesome students in 3rd-4th grade. My class is one of three classes in our district for students with autism. We love learning! My students are visual, hands-on learners who deserve the best academic experience possible!

We spend our days learning about academic subjects, social skills, and we all mainstream into general education classes to further our social skills and make new friends.

Our school was the 36th school, internationally, to receive STEM certification and we are a STEAM school.

My Project

Project-based learning is easy—with an all-in-one kit that keeps the whole class engaged from start to finish and gets kids excited about making a difference! We will use the infographic card to learn about the effects of an unhealthy lifestyle…then grab a research book to delve deeper into the topic. After conducting thorough research, we will apply what we’ve learned to create a factual and informative pamphlet, persuasive letter or digital slide presentation. The reading comprehension file folders will be used for students who finish work early in the reading station. The gigantic magnetic lined page is perfect for anchor charts and can be reused over and over again.
