This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are back to school! This year due to the pandemic and learning loss, many of our students are required to attend summer school to catch up. We want to make sure that they are prepared for back to school in September! Since we are returning for summer learning, we need to get back to the basics in the classroom. We are requesting items so students can complete meaningful projects that they can be proud of over summer and into the fall semester.
Every classroom needs basic supplies to get through the school year and in our school, we are only budgeted $100 for basic classroom supplies - obviously, this is not enough to get us through summer let alone the entire school year.
These basic classroom items - markers, tape, and scissors - will go a long way toward getting us back to the normal place we all want to be in. Especially in a science classroom, where so much is written out in equations, word problems, and essays, students will sorely need to have these items through the year.
