My Project

Teaching Digital Arts is rewarding because I get to see students develop amazing and creative products. The biggest challenge in teaching Digital Arts is that students rarely get to see their final piece off the computer screen. We design logos, shirt mockups, branding packages, and so much more, but this is often limited to the digital screen. I also teach a 3-year pathway program and students connect heavily to this program as part of their identity on campus.

I want to give my students the opportunity to work with real materials to bring their designs to life and connect them with their fellow art students.

I want them to walk out of my classroom wearing the t-shirt they designed and see other students on campus wearing clothes with the graphics they designed. They need the raw materials (i.e. t-shirt blanks) to do this. I can't wait to see what my students create with this!
