I need professional development books about executive functioning, art therapy, and a variety of cognitive therapy books so I can better understand my students.
My students have a wide variety of needs. Even though I have a Master's Degree in Special Education, I still have a lot to learn about disabilities, how brains work and learn best, and ways I can best support my diverse group of learners.
These books will provide me with tangible strategies I can use in my classroom to make learning more accessible and enjoyable for my students.
In an economy where budgets keep getting tighter and tighter, there isn't a lot of extra funding for teachers to attend professional development conferences.
