Professional Art Materials for High School Students

Help me give my students professional-grade painting and art supplies such as gouache and acrylic paint sets to create quality artwork with quality materials.

My Project

I work at a progressive public charter school. Our charter relies on state funding for all of our materials and supplies. My current role is the Arts Integration and Inquiry specialist at my school. I work with students in all classes to synthesize ideas unique to each subject's curriculum and help students to create original artworks based on their research and brainstorming.

Students often dream big and wish to use high-quality and traditional hands-on art materials.

In this project, I have included high-quality painting materials such as gauche paint, acrylic paint, stretched canvases, and high-quality brushes- items that are typically out of the realm of our budget, with the hopes that I can guide students to create beautiful, creative, original paintings. Many of these original works are being created to build portfolios that will be submitted with college applications.
