My Project

I have an amazing group of students that work hard everyday. My classroom as a lot of students that just need a little extra support and flexibility. I think flexible seating is an amazing resource that we as teachers have. As an adult I hate sitting at my desk all day and hate seeing my students struggling to sit all day without wiggling. some of them just need to be able to move to focus.

I would love to be able to give all students the opportunity to find a seating plan that helps them stay focused and be as productive as they can be in the classroom.

I have some students that cannot reach the floor with the chairs we have this can be hard and distracting for them so wiggle footstools or footstools of any kind can help them focus more on the work then on their feet not touching the ground.

I also feel that flexible seating for all where it is a choice helps those that truly need it or have it in their IEP blend in with the rest of the class. I want students to be able to try multiple styles of seating to find what is best for them. I want all of my students to succeed and believe flexible seating can help in reaching that goal.
