My Project

My students get excited to receive stickers and little trinkets showing how hard they have worked. My prize bin, however, has become extremely picked over throughout the year. When we play Bingo or other games, I like to give my students prizes for participating and showing their best effort, and it makes the "win" a little more exciting for them.

Students should be excited to come to my group.

While overall, I succeed at making students excited to learn and work with me, sometimes, it's nice to be surprised with prizes. I have added stickers, block sets, as well as fidgets and fun, useful items like silly pens and erasers.

While intrinsic motivation is always the goal, sometimes a little external boost can go a long way.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
