My Students
My elementary school is a unique school. It has a high population of English as Second Language (ESL) Learners. All students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many students receive a backpack on Fridays with food to eat during the weekend. We also have a partnership so families can participate in a food pantry once a month.
My second-grade students are eager learners attending a Title I school.
They enter class every day enthusiastically ready to be engaged and focused on skills and tasks needed to successfully move to the next grade as well as the life skills needed to assist with future endeavors.
My Project
Students need the opportunity to work in a neat and organized classroom. It is important to teach students procedures for being organized. They need to know that all items have a proper home. Book bags will be placed on the back of students' chairs for easy access by using Command Hooks. Book bins and trays will allow students to place their books and work in a container neatly. Students will also store math manipulative in the bins. These items will be easily accessible to students near their desk.
Students are dedicated and work extremely hard to master skills; using Privacy Partitions will allow them to privately show skills they have mastered after practicing for several days.
