My Students
I teach a lively group of 22 eager learners at public school where 100% of students receive free or reduced-priced lunch. All my students come from low socioeconomic status families who believe in education as the tool that holds the promise of a better future for their children.
My students come every day to school with the attitude to learn and have the aptitude to become successful productive citizens of this country.
It is my goal to provide them with the best quality education.
Collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking are key skills that I explicitly and implicitly teach to my students. They work hard every day to grow holistically while displaying these skills that will prepare them for life.

My Project
My classroom has tables that sit 5-6 students. Sometimes it is necessary that kids work independently, to show how much they know, especially when they are doing tests, quizzes, or another type of work that require them to be by themselves.
The privacy partition sets that I am requesting will allow my students to engage in independent work without getting easily distracted by their peers at the same table.
The timer will be a tool to keep the students' track of their time on tasks.
My students engage in collaborative work several times during the day, which makes their learning very social and fun. However, there are moments when private work and focus is necessary.
