Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach very attentive English Language Learners, totaling 28 inquisitive students. There are several students who newly arrived to the country and don't speak any English and are eager to learn.
My students engage in everyday lessons that are print rich, engaging, and thought provoking.
They are encouraged to use all learning modalities and intelligents. There is a total of 7 students with special needs who receive related services and lessons are modified to their learning needs. We are an inclusive and diverse family who practice tolerance and acceptance.
With the new methods of teaching and learning, lessons are meaningful and engaging while using technology. Students are technologically creative and use tools, such as Google Classroom, slides, forms, Jamboards to name a few.
With this new shift, students consume more toner to print illustrations that are vibrant and elaborate .
Writing is one of the most complex tasks for all students, and particularly for students with learning disability and learning a new language. Utilizing illustrations and various writing models, students become stronger learner.
