My students need a color printer to print their fabulous projects!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My students are individuals who strive to learn, educate and utilize their experiences inside and outside of the classroom. They attend an inner-city school located in the Bronx, New York. They are in a 15:1 classroom setting, which means 15 students maximum to 1 teacher. This class size is restrictive allowing fewer distractions to enable differentiated teaching.
My students are self-contained Special Education students that want to complete creative and challenging projects!
My students are the hardest working group of students I have had the honor of educating. These students have ambitions, goals, and dreams as any other students.
At the beginning of the school year, if my students were given a choice to read a book or have the dentist pull out a tooth the majority would have chosen the second option. I want each and every student to love reading, the way that I do!
I've gotten them to the point where they like reading, and love the projects that go along with that reading!
The students complete a variety of activities such as book jackets, newspaper editorials, letters to the characters, and so much more! This printer will enable students to print out their own projects, and be proud of their successes.
My students are self-contained students which will allow them the use of the printer during: math, science, social studies and English. Math and Science are both conceptual and visual. Having the colored printer would enable students to be more engaged with color in the classroom. In addition, color bridges the digital and print worlds.
The color printer will be an asset in the math classes as well for example, to teach fractions and ratios. In short, color engages and inspires our students in today’s technically advanced world.
