My Students
Our middle school serves around 300 students from rural areas. I teach in a school district where 100% of the students qualify for free/reduced priced lunches through community eligibility. Like many extracurricular activities in Oklahoma, the activities we participate in are heavily funded by student fundraisers that we do throughout the year.
The choir students are a hard-working group of students who continuously put forth the most amount of effort to succeed.
They expect nothing but the best from themselves, as well as their peers. This past year, we had around 60 students selected for our regional choirs and 20 students selected for our All-State choirs!
My Project
The use of sheet music is a daily occurence in choir. Many of the pieces that we purchase are digital downloads that we have to print off. Generally, our students share copies throughout class hours. However, due to COVID-19, we cannot share sheet music. We want students to have their own copies that they can take home if we happen to go virtual again as well.
This printer will allow students to continue to rehearse safely and without any hindrance.
