My Students
I teach at an elementary school that is a part of Roanoke City Public Schools. Our school is a fully accredited school that is adamant in providing a quality education for students. It serves students in the grades of kindergarten through fifth. The staff here are dedicated to making an impact on the students in both academics and life. A result of this dedication is the staff working hard to offer a safe and positive learning environment for each and every student.

My class is composed of a unique and diverse set of students. Each one of them learns in a different way. I try to provide various ways to keep the students engaged and have opportunities to learn through hands-on experiences. These experiences include playing bean bag toss to identify word endings, writing words in sand, and taking a reading break underneath our reading tree. In order fulfill my mission, I plan to continue offering these types of learning experiences for my students.
My Project
Just like anything you do, it takes practice to master skills and concepts. My classroom is a jungle, and my jungle needs a printer to help with this. There is always something that needs to be printed for my students. Whether it is something for a current skill, or a review of something that we have learned in the past.
A printer would improve my ability to provide colorful and engaging activities that help my students practice skills and concepts.
What would a jungle be without color? The printer I selected for my project prints in color. This gives me the opportunity to print out materials for my students that are pleasing to the eye and motivate them to complete.
