Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are a second-grade inclusion classroom with a mixture of general education and special needs students in a high needs area in the Bronx. My students are a group of diverse learners, with a wide range of abilities. With the printer, we will be able to give the students colorful creations throughout the class, along with supplemental worksheets to support their needs.
Many of my students enjoy being in school and coming into my classroom every day; they see it as a consistent part of their lives.
With their desire to learn and the effort they put forth; these children inspire me every day.
Being a Title I school, the majority of students come from low-income homes, shelters, or homes with limited parental involvement, but they are enthusiastic and come to school every day ready to learn. They see school as a consistent part of their daily lives and love to make me proud. My students are some of the happiest children I have ever had the pleasure of working with, and they inspire me to provide the best education I can for them.
