My Students
My students attend a Title I charter school in Houston, Texas where nearly 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Despite many hardships, my students are college bound, eager to learn, and always do their best.
Many of our students, teachers, and staff lost many things during Hurricane Harvey.
We've lost students from our school because they were displaced. Months later we are still recovering from the devastation of the hurricane.
Although our community has experienced so much devastation as a result of Hurricane Harvey, our students have a determination to succeed and are committed to going to college!
My Project
Having an HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 All-in-One Wireless Printer with Mobile Printing in our Reading Lab will make a difference in students learning. Specifically, students will be able to print reading projects, reading comprehension assignments, and individual online assessment results.
Beyond just the simple need to print, there is also a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment that comes from students seeing their hard work in printed form.
Having a printer available in our classroom would help my students have what they need in a more timely and efficient manner!
In addition, having a classroom printer will allow me the opportunity to create manipulatives and rewards.
