Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are energetic, eager to learn, and fun-loving. Even though some tough situations some of my students face at home, they come in every day really giving it their all. At our school, one hundred percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Coming from an urban district and a Title I school, my students do not have as many supplies and opportunities as the surrounding districts.
"The need for imagination as a sense of truth and as a feeling of responsibility, these are the three forces which are the very nerve of education." --Rudolf Steiner.
For this reason, I work extra hard to raise money for supplies that will be used by my students. Over the years when I have told my students that we have gotten a project funded and we were getting supplies, the looks on their faces were priceless. My students are so appreciative, and donations from kind-hearted people really impact their lives in such a major way!
My Project
My students and I need a color printer and ink cartridges to help print and scan materials needed to enhance my students’ remote learning experience. The color printer will be used to print math visuals, vocabulary cards, and reading materials to draw students' attention to the lesson.
Having a color printer will make my virtual lessons more colorful and engaging.
This printer will also become a part of my classroom once we return to school. Thanks in advance for supporting my project. The color printer will surely increase my students’ overall interest.
