My Project

The majority of my students live in high socioeconomic need areas where they have limited access to resources. They overcome challenges on a daily basis and are still determined to succeed. Many of them are English Language Learners, including talented bilinguals and, in some cases, trilinguals! My students are diverse learners with diverse needs.

I make a lot of my own resources that meet their needs.

In order to do that, I need printer ink so that I can print and laminate the resources.

Examples of personalized learning might look like phonics letterboards to help growing readers, math flashcards, and sound walls to help with phonics instruction.

I also print a lot of photographs of my students to help build community. We take pictures on birthdays, field trips, and other school events that I laminate for them. Photographs help build community and buy-in in the classroom.

Our other need is these small composition books. These small composition books are incredibly helpful for subjects such as phonics and morphology.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
