My students are currently doing remote learning with paper packets. We don't have 1-to-1 technology as of yet in our corporation. Although, they are working on it. Most of my students do have access to some type of smart device and are able to do some learning games and activities on line at home using their parents’ devices when available. We have provided a lot of online tools, if they can be accessed, otherwise the packets cover their learning needs. We are able to Zoom once or twice a week and do activities together as a class!
I would love to have a printer, so that I can copy resources and send them to families who may need more materials and print off notes, letters, and pictures that families have been sending me.
Unfortunately, we walked out of our buildings the middle of March thinking we would return a few weeks later and have not been able to return. I wish I would have been able to provide my students some more materials to aid in their at home learning.
My Project
This project is for a Colored Printer for me to use to print off needed material for my students while we are completing remote learning. We are not allowed to go back into our buildings at this time, so it makes it difficult from me to print off any resources that my students may need. Our remote learning is packets that have been provided by the corporation, but I would like to be able to print off additional activities and games to send to my families to use for a more hands-on learning experience.
This printer and paper would allow me to print off lots of extra materials and activities for my students to use during their at home learning and even over the summer!
I am so excited for this opportunity and I know my students will be as well. My kindergarteners would really benefit from what this new resource will allow me to do from home.
