My Students
"Can I take my book home today and read it to my parents?" My students are always asking to take home their guided reading books after we read them in class.
I teach 25 little scholars who come to school everyday eager to learn.
We are a Title One magnet school located in North Carolina. Currently we serve approximately 95% low income students. Many families work multiple jobs and also receive free or reduced breakfast and lunch.
My Project
I would like to add stock paper and printer ink, and duct tape to make take home books for each student. The card stock and ink we be used to print each book. The colored duct tape will be used to help differentiate and show the levels of each books. The books will be modeled at school and given to each student to take home and read with their families nightly. Learning how to read include reading daily. These books will allow students fluency as they are beginning to learn how to read.
Please help my students continue their learning to read at home.
Reading is fundamental and this is important for young students. Your donations will help students continue their love for reading. Thanking you in advance for your support!
