I teach deaf and hard-of-hearing students, students with learning disabilities, and English Language Learners in a high-poverty, Title One school. All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch everyday. They face many challenges in their lives, including learning the basics of reading, writing and math.
My students have a lot to overcome, but they are rising to the challenge.
Once my students realize they can learn, their learning takes off and the possibilities are endless! As a teacher, it is so rewarding to see students who once thought they can't, now realize they can, and it is my joy to guide them towards that realization.
This HP Envy printer will be used to print student work, classroom displays, and other classroom resources. With this printer, students will be able to keep visual reading logs. They will be able to display their work. We will be able to create and print language experience stories. Students will be able to receive immediate, visible, tangible feedback.
Visual displays are important for all students, and this is especially true for students who are deaf and hard of hearing.
My students really do need to see it to believe it. By helping to support our classroom with this printer, our visual display possibilities will be endless. Students will truly be able to print it, see it, learn it, love it!
