Celebrating Black History Month

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

In a diverse school such as the one I have taught at for 15 years, I am fortunate to work with students who are passionate about learning. In an effort to broaden their enthusiasm, I want to create student centered activities which focus on equity in education.

My Project

In this age of technology there are many digital platforms that allow students to be creative. Unfortunately, they do not have the ability to see their creations come to life. With the purchase of a color printer and ink, our students will enjoy seeing their efforts displayed in the classroom.

As a teacher of special education, I know first hand how important it is to have tangible things available for our students.

Printing assignments such as creative posters or story boards that show an understanding of the content are essential to success. I look forward to the students having this amazing ability to showcase their efforts and see their work come to life.
