Help me give my students pretend play fun! These toys will support my speech students in advancing their language and articulation skills through play.
Over the past few years I have had the opportunity to work with the younger speech students at my school. I have always loved supporting the little ones with their language development outside of the school setting and I am so excited to now have them on my caseload in the school setting as well.
For these students in 3K, Pre-K and sometimes even K you need to have them learn through play, and play only!
I currently don't have toys for this age group at my school. The teachers in these classrooms are given special funding for their classrooms for the toys they need, but not speech therapists. I am requesting pretend play toys and games to support language development through play, and for some of my kids also working on their sound development as well.
These toys, Legos, magnetic tiles, baby dolls, etc. will allow for development in their natural environment. Now I am not sure who is more excited about playing with these toys . . .Thank you for supporting my speech room!
