Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a second year TK teacher. For the majority of my students at just 4 and 5 years old, my classroom is their first doorway to start their education. They are nervous to be away from their parents for the first time but are also very excited to be at school for the first time. Children learn through social interactions and play with their peers. The capes will help my students enjoy turning "Super 5" and the telephone, pizza play set, and cookie baking set will help them broaden their imagination in our Kitchen play center. The students will interact, communicate, learn self-regulation, and develop their imagination through sharing and playing. These items will benefit each child's peer interactions and play in the classroom.
