My Students

My students now are the most inquisitive class I've ever had the honor of teaching. They have the drive to learn, the willingness to always work on improving, and the ability to learn from their mistakes. These are incredible traits to have for a third grade class.

Even though their economic circumstances do not afford them the opportunities that more affluent students have, they strive to overcome against all odds and turn their negatives into positives.

They take their academic responsibilities very seriously, using whatever tools are available at home to help them achieve academic success.

My Project

By having this up-close and hands-on visual and interactive experience, it enables our students to conceptually understand the needs and requirements of preserving our delicate bio-systems, protecting the animals that call them home, and the economic and environmental awareness needed to do so.

Because our students come from socio-economically challenged communities, the opportunity to experience a wondrous and engaging place like the Springs Preserve is not normally available to them.

It is my hope that this project will be able to leave an everlasting impression in their minds that they will share, remember, and take forward into the future with the motivation to make a change for the better.
