My students are from CO. The area is changing as Denver's neighborhoods outside the city central have become a hot commodity. My students are more mixed in regards to "school readiness" now in comparison to the past. They come from homes that are stable as well as homes that are transitional motels with daily struggles to make ends meet. With this mix of backgrounds comes the challenge to meet everyone's needs. Although the spectrum is very wide, we work as a team to support each other.
My busy little bees....amazing!
They grow by leaps and bounds weekly. I am always amazed to see how much they grow socially, academically and emotionally in a year. My students come from a Title 1 school. Many of them are dealing with life challenges that are beyond what children should experience. Despite these challenges, they come to school ready to be a part of a classroom community where we celebrate our learning and friendships.
My Project
Play is purposeful!!! My preschoolers will engage in language development and learn to work together with the resources you are helping us to get!! All while playing!!! They will use of their imaginations to bring their stories to life. It is amazing to witness all the learning that takes place when my students are given the opportunity to create by building and constructing. The water table numbers and building blocks will allow them to begin to recognize numbers in a playful way and the water blocks will add another element to explore building in the water. They are going to be so excited!!!!
