This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My classroom is filled with students who are exceptional, full of potential, and eager to learn. . "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world". (Nelson Mandela)
Our school is located in a low socioeconomic area where one hundred percent of our children receive free or reduced lunch. My students will use these resources during various times of the day in my classroom.
I have students coming into my resource room all through the day. We are located in a suburban, grades 1-8 public elementary school just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Our school is Title I, so money is stretched thin but we strive every day to give our students the best education we can.
My Project
My students will use these resources during various times of the day in my classroom. Most of these students do not have a writing utensil and are in need of pencils. The pencils are in great demand in my classroom and will be used everyday. During math, we need calculators. I have few calculators and the students have to share them. When they have tests, we have a major problem. The students will benefit by the calculators a lot.
With the upcoming PSSA exams, it is integral that the students have the material they need to prepare.
These supplies will help them take the first step to being more ready to tackle these tests and with your help we can make it happen.
