This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have the pleasure and privilege of teaching four-year-olds. For many, this is their first time in school! While this year will not be traditional, as their teacher, I not only have to provide them with the materials to learn but also create an environment virtual and in person, that instills a positive attitude towards education.
Many of my kiddos come from low-income homes although all full of love!
The parents cannot donate much and the school budget just will not cover all that we need to make our environments as exploratory as such young children deserve. One of the effects, COVID is having, is there just isn't any money to purchase items. Please consider helping us!
My Project
PreK is where children are introduced to language and literacy. Language and literacy in the classroom is explored and expressed in a variety of ways, which support all types of learners.
A well-rounded early education in literacy should include access to materials that facilitate the foundation for future literacy development.
The items requested do this. Children who may have difficulty holding a writing tool can express language in various ways with these tools. For example, children may want to use play dough stampers to express letters familiar to them or even words such as their name or ink stampers.
