Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a pre-k teacher in a Title I district in Oklahoma, in which 100% of our students receive a free or reduced-price lunch. My learners are sweet, kind, and joyful learners. They come in every day anxious to see what we are working on and ready to master every concept they are given.

My students radiate excitement to learn so it is fun to give them projects and activities that challenge their creativity.

Each day is a new opportunity to think about academia in diverse, challenging, and fascinating ways. Plus, through the activities they are given, they begin to develop passions and envision themselves as doctors, teachers, engineers, business owners, and much more. It is these moments of recognizing the value of knowledge that fuels my teacher heart and their student minds.

I would love to continue providing resources and opportunities for these little ones, as they will quickly become the future of our world. If you can donate any amount, it would bless my students tremendously. Thank you in advance!

My Project

We are looking to get books for our students. These are not just any books, though! We want to purchase each child a copy of Dr. Seuss's "Oh the Places You'll Go".

Each year PreK students grow so much, but they are do not stop here.

A huge piece of PreK is preparing our learners for being lifelong learners. The skills they acquire in PreK will be used in elementary, high school, and beyond.

In order to celebrate the progress that students have made, we want to give each of them a book to take home on the last day of school. Both teachers take ample time to write a note about how incredible and successful every learner has been this year. This encouragement is truly limitless!

With your help, our PreK kids will be leaving our classroom with a physical reminder of confidence that they can always look to. They can read it again and again, as well.
