I am eager to tell you all the ways that our project will benefit my students! I am seeking a class set of headphones for my students to take ownership of! These resources will help learners grow in a multitude of ways. For example, Pre-K students are in the beginning stages of learning to read. As they progress as readers, these headphones would allow them to listen to books being read aloud. When a child hears a book, their mind begins to understand the processes of story telling, such as sequence, characters, theme, etc. Also, these headphones would allow students to hear limitless vocabulary and sight words while listening to books. Not only are headphones helpful when listening to stories read aloud, but they also play a significant role in giving these young learners an opportunity to "play" with learning. This would look primarily like children working on academic websites, in which they can learn colors, shapes, letter sounds and recognition, and more. At this age, it is important to keep learning fun and engaging; utilizing headphones and technology does just that!
