My Students

At our school, we strive to treat each other with respect, love, and compassion. Unfortunately, these students are in a high poverty, low-income environment, where all of our students at our school receive free breakfast and lunch. I teach PreK students in an underfunded, underprivileged rural setting. My students are faced with some challenges in their home life which include broken homes and sadness.

My students all have such endearing personalities and motivation to learn.

They always do their personal best in our positive classroom community.

My Project

Our fourth creative curriculum unit we are studying in our Pre-k classroom is our gardening unit. We will experience this unit into the Spring. I have asked for rocks to paint along with glow in the dark paint for our rock garden, a sensory box with flowers, and books on gardening. In addition, we need center games on planting and gardening.

These materials will enhance and bring in real-life experiences for our gardening unit.

Please help us get this grant-funded. It will bring to life our gardening unit. Thank you for support.
