This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My low-income students need opportunities to learn hands-on skills they are not able to get outside the classroom. When these tools are not in the classroom, the teacher must bring personal items back and forth from home to the classroom.

A 3D pen and digital calipers can be useful to mend or create replacements for every day objects that break.

The clip that holds the battery cover closed on electronic devices is one such item that breaks easily. When students have the tools and learn to use them, they can design and repair those everyday objects.
