My students are extremely curious, and since it is their first year in an all-day structured program, they transition often from guided instruction to free choice learning. We have learning center time and a state-approved curriculum to keep them on track with other children their age in our state. I tell my students that they are the "Best kids in Texas", and our motto is "We are all friends".
I teach Pre-Kindergarten students at a Title I school in Texas where we are currently recovering from Hurricane Harvey.
All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. The majority of my students are English Language Learners and have lots of excitement about school.
My Project
My Pre-Kindergarten students are definitely growing up in the age of technology. They know so much about touch screens, computer terms and high tech games.
My students need a touch screen iPad and case to help them accomplish Pre-Kindergarten skills using technology.
We have recently suffered from Hurricane Harvey and our community is rebuilding. We are definitely being met by a wonderful community of donors to help us build back an educational environment that is a successful place of learning. Thank you for considering us to support as we try to build back our technology in the classroom.
