The goals have become an important part of our program because students can practice shooting, passing, and game strategies in a way that was not possible before. A special moment happened when the new goals arrived and were set up on the field. Once other students saw the new equipment, more students began asking about joining the soccer club, even after the sign-up period had closed. Their excitement and curiosity showed how much interest the new resources sparked across campus. Your support helped create a space where students can learn, grow, and enjoy the game together.\r\n\r\nOne exciting next step is continuing to grow the soccer program, which has already expanded from five students to ten because of increased interest and engagement. Students are excited to be part of something growing, and the new goals have helped build that enthusiasm. We also hope to connect our students with the district soccer program by creating opportunities for them to volunteer at varsity games, learn from older student-athletes, and become part of an intergenerational soccer community. Through these experiences, students can build leadership, strengthen school connections, and continue developing a love for the game that reaches beyond our program.","fullyFundedDate":1769192035647,"projectUrl":"project/goals-for-growth-building-leaders-throu/9847639/","projectTitle":"Goals for Growth: Building Leaders Through Fútbol","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Delgado","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10288586"},{"teacherId":5644272,"projectId":8870956,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our brand-new Garden Club has officially taken root at Port Acres Elementary! When our students first saw the raised flower beds, packets of seeds, fresh soil, and plant food, their faces lit up with pure excitement. Many of them had never planted anything before, and they couldn't believe that they would be the ones responsible for growing real flowers and vegetables. The plant labels quickly became a favorite—students proudly wrote their names and plant types, claiming ownership of their little corner of our school garden.\r\n\r\nWe've already begun our first project: preparing the raised beds, learning how to enrich soil, and carefully planting seeds for fall flowers and cool-weather vegetables. Students worked together to mix soil, compare seed types, and discuss what plants need to survive. These hands-on experiences are building not just knowledge, but confidence, teamwork, and curiosity.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, our students now have a living outdoor classroom that will continue to grow with them. Our next steps include monitoring germination, charting plant growth in weekly garden journals, and eventually harvesting what we grow to share with other classes. Your gift has nurtured a love for nature, science, and responsibility in our learners—and we truly cannot thank you enough for helping us create something beautiful and educational that they will remember for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1732034693705,"projectUrl":"project/growing-futures-gardening-club-for-hand/8870956/","projectTitle":"Growing Futures: Gardening Club for Hands-On Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Seymour","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5644272_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1534539773416","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msdseymour"},{"teacherId":3549089,"projectId":8825744,"letterContent":"Please accept my sincere gratitude for your generous donation. I mainly use it during group lessons to engage my students in instruction focusing on all subjects. My students love using technology when participating in interactive learning games, lessons and activities to improve academic growth in Reading and Math.\r\n\r\nAfter setting up the new printer, using the vibrant color paper and allowing the students to be better organized with the supply boxes has made our classroom a much more exciting learning environment. These new items have allowed me to create amazing learning center games, flash cards, learning binder materials, parent letters and classroom labels.\r\n\r\nAll of my students are enjoying spending time learning and working with their peers using the new materials and look forward to the new games and activities that I planned to print during the year. Your support made it possible for us to add vibrant materials and essential resources that bring our lessons to life.\r\n\r\nWith your donation, I was able to create colorful, small-group activity centers that promote collaboration, creativity, and hands-on learning. These stations have transformed the way my students interact with content and with each other. Whether they're practicing reading comprehension, or exploring social studies concepts, the bright visuals and engaging layouts keep them excited and focused.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, the classroom now feels like a space where students truly belong. The colorful materials and organized small-group areas have helped establish a sense of routine and joy that sets the tone for each day.
