This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are amazing little learners. School is just beginning and I can't wait to see their excited faces everyday as we get to learn something new. In our classroom we are celebrating our differences and embracing each one’s learning styles through engaging hands-on activities. This year we are celebrating learning through a new curriculum and are excited to share our knowledge with others. It’s my desire to provide the tools for their future. As a Pre-K class we are building our future one learning experience at a time.

My Project

With defined spaces children begin to understand boundaries. In Pre-K we learn so much about ourselves and others that we often need to learn the value of having our own space. Using a rug with squares will provide my students with a space of their own as we read, dance, and play. At the same time it doesn't limit us to not being beside our friends and reading a book together.

By donating to our project you are providing us with a special learning environment where we can have our space, but explore with our neighbor that's beside us.

Students will be able to focus on what their job is so that learning freely takes place without the confusion of where do I sit and where does my friend sit.
