Each completed puzzle gives my students a sense of accomplishment and pride, which encourages them to keep trying. We have already begun using the puzzles during centers and small group work. One of my students who often struggles with staying on task surprised us all by sitting and completing a puzzle independently from start to finish. My students are learning about the chicken life cycle through visuals, sensory activities, and stories. They use gestures, picture symbols, and assistive devices to \"talk\" about the incubator and what will happen when the eggs arrive. Checking on the incubator has already become part of our routine, helping them practice responsibility and patience.\r\n\r\nThe next steps will be magical—watching eggs develop and hatch will give my students a real-world connection to science, while also teaching empathy and care.
