Pre-K Social Emotional Deep Dive!

Help me give my students social emotional materials, books, art supplies and various manipulatives to enhance their social emotional learning in the classroom!

My Project

My students deserve nothing less than the best. Being a new classroom, having all materials at the beginning of the school year was difficult as funding not only mine, but another new classroom, was extremely expensive. Although we are in the middle of the year, there is still materials that my students would greatly benefit from. Various art supplies will allow my students to express their emotions and grow their social emotional skills. A huge part of pre-k is learning our emotions, how to cope, and problem solve. Using the various manipulatives I have requested would allow my students to express themselves. The stress emotion balls and feelings chart would be used daily. The conversation cube would be used daily to enhance their social emotional learning and their communication skills. This would allow them to interact with their peers and learn new things about their classmates.

My goal is to gain these materials for the classroom to provide the best I can for my students.

Being in an inner low- income city, my students do not necessarily have access to learning materials at home, and some students only get to engage with peers and materials whilst at school.

My students mean the world to me. They are driven, engaged, loving, kind and show their eagerness to learn every day. Coming from all backgrounds, they always come together to support one another, be friends to all and never leave anyone behind. At such a young age, those qualities blow me away and leave me shocked how I was blessed with such amazing students!
