My Students
My students are extremely curious and, since it is their first year in an all-day structured program, they transition often from guided instruction to free choice learning. We have learning center time and a state-approved curriculum to keep them on track with other children their age in our state. I tell my students that they are the" Best Kids in Texas" and our motto is "We are all friends."
I teach pre-kindergarten students at a Title I school in Texas, currently recovering from Hurricane Harvey.
All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. The majority of my students are English Language Learners and have lots of excitement about school.
My Project
Early Childhood children learn through play. I believe that the best form of research is through play and what better way to express yourself than through the wonderful world of LEGOS.
This well designed community set invites children to explore the world through the theme of community as they build environments and role play in real-life scenarios.
Children will discuss what they are creating with their friends and be able to share ideas while learning to collaborate and discuss community life, transportation and the world around them.
Thank you for considering our classroom to help obtain the tools my students need to be successful.
